Privacy Policy

Version prepared for GymBro 1.0 · Last updated October 10, 2026

This policy explains how Vedant Ajwani, operating as GymBro handles information when you use GymBro’s iOS app and website.

Information you provide

GymBro uses your email address and account identifier to authenticate you and keep your data separate from other users. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; GymBro does not keep a separate plaintext password database.

We store workouts and dates, selected exercises, sets, repetitions, lifted weights, timed-set durations, workout and preset names, drafts and planned workouts, weight units, training goals, and muscle priorities. Optional soreness reports and calculated muscle-load and recovery records help explain your estimated recovery.

How we use information

We use this information to provide account access, save and synchronize your training records, show history and progression, personalize workout suggestions, calculate estimated recovery, maintain service security, and respond to support requests.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and database services. Vercel hosts our website and server APIs. Authentication email delivery and infrastructure providers process information needed to provide those services. If you email support, our email service processes your message and address. Providers may retain request metadata, such as IP addresses, user agents, authentication events, and technical logs, for operation and security.

We do not currently integrate advertising networks or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell your training data. Workout recommendations are calculated by GymBro’s training logic; your records are not sent to a third-party AI service by this version.

On your device

The app stores session information and limited timer state on your device. Its exercise catalog may be cached locally. Rest Live Activities can show exercise names, set progress, weight or duration targets, and elapsed rest time on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. You can disable Live Activities in iOS settings. The app does not currently access HealthKit, your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or motion sensors.

Social features

The Friends screen describes planned functionality. This version does not create friend connections, publish your workouts to other users, or provide messaging.

Retention and account deletion

Your account and saved training records are retained while your account remains active. You can initiate permanent account deletion in Profile → Delete account permanently. After authentication and confirmation, this removes your active account and associated workout, preset, preference, soreness, and recovery database records. Other users’ records and the shared exercise library are preserved.

Deletion also clears associated app timer/session state on the device used to initiate it. Copies in service-provider backups and security or operational logs may remain according to applicable provider retention practices or legal obligations. They are not immediately erased by the active-database deletion. Contact us for information about these practices or a data request.

Your choices

You can update your training preferences, edit or remove saved workouts, sign out, and delete your account. For access, correction, privacy questions, or other data requests, email support@thegymbroapp.com. Available rights depend on your location.

Children and fitness estimates

GymBro is a general fitness tool, not a children’s service or a medical service. Do not submit another person’s personal information. Recovery estimates do not diagnose injuries or establish that an exercise is safe for you.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app and its data practices change. Material changes will be described in the app or this page. Contact Vedant Ajwani, operating as GymBro at support@thegymbroapp.com.
